You had a vision, you had a plan, and you had systems and people in place to enact that vision. Likely it wasn’t going exactly to plan, but you were on a path. Then Coronavirus (COVID-19) arrived in Tompkins County and many businesses were left asking critical questions. Very suddenly we were subjected to brand new territory, and few of us have a map.

People are looking to leaders in ways they have not before, and in turn, we need to look to ourselves individually and collectively. What are the pressures and stressors that you are under right now? What are the emotional competencies you are leading with? How is your personal and professional sustainability being tapped? What is being asked of you as you navigate this territory? What are you learning?

Amy Kohut, Founder and Owner of 1 Step Coaching and Consulting LLC in Brooktondale, NY, hosted our webinar on Leadership in Complex Times (or Why is Everyone Looking to Me?). This webinar allowed a space for other business leaders to share successes, struggles, and continue to build the community of leaders in our area. We discussed what your team needs right now, what you need, and how to continue to grow and evolve.

During the webinar we:
-Discussed specific leadership behaviors that address “VUCA” situations
-Reconnected with ourselves as a resource
-Shared struggles, best practices, ideas and solutions
-Became inspired by others in our community
