Happy Holidays from the CVB!
We are thankful for this amazing place and the people with whom we have the privilege to work year-round. It is my pleasure to officially thank you for your support of the CVB team. 2016 has been a year of transition and growth for the CVB team. During this transition, we have seen the opening of our third Visitor Center through an innovative partnership with NYS Parks. Collectively, our Visitor Experience Department has engaged with 43,000 visitors from all 50 states and 84 countries.
The Sales Department has referred $1.3M in new meetings and group business to Tompkins County through November. The Marketing Department continues to generate more positive buzz for the destination through proactive media pitching and social media. In November alone, we were able to produce 12 additional media placements with a reach of 20.8 million.
We are excited to ring in the New Year with a full staff to further grow the Tompkins County tourism economy in 2017. May the New Year bring you peace, joy and prosperity. Safe travels!
